Anthony Megal Hagler was born to Ada B. Thompson of Greensboro, North Carolina, and
he is the son of Apostle Kenneth D. Hagler, Sr. Anthony grew up on the Gospel Tabernacle
United Holy Church in the fear of God, where his grandfather Eugene Grant was the pastor.
Anthony accepted the Lord Jesus as the tender age of 14 years old. After graduating form high
school, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he attended Saint Augustine’s College; with
his graduation being one of his greatest achievements. During this time he joined and attended
Abundant Life COGIC.
At this time the Lord began to deal with Anthony concerning his call to the ministry, and
after much prayer was led to another vineyard where he joined the Greater City of Truth
Deliverance Temple, Inc. under the great and anointed tutelage of his father, Apostle Kenneth
D. Hagler, Sr. wherein he has grown leaps and bounds.
Anthony preached is initial sermon December 8, 1996 and was ordained a Prophet/Elder in
October 1998. He has obtained two B.A. Degrees in Psychology and Special Education at the St.
Augustine’s College. He was nominated for the District of Columbia Public Schools New Teacher
of the Year Award in 2002, and is currently pursing his Masters degree in Elementary Education
at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). He is a fifth grade teacher at the Turner
Elementary School and a 3rd year student at the Deliverance Bible Institute pursing an education
in Biblical Studies. He has been certified by Go to conduct workshops, prayer services, and
preach to the Young Adult Kingdom Movement. His everlasting vision is to promote young people
to maximize their Godly potential to be all they can be and to be empowered by the Word of God.
As young believers, we have been commission by God to be strong. I John 2:14 reads, "I have
written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning, I have written
unto you, young men, because ye are strong."
At Anthony’s local church assembly, the Greater City of Truth Deliverance Temple, Inc.
he serves in many capacities such as: Youth Pastor, Head General Intercessor, Deacon Board
Overseer, VOC Mass Choior, Sunday School Superintendent & Instructor, Pastoral Aid Ministry
President, and National Youth President for GTDII (Greater Temples of Deliverance International,
Inc.)
Presently God has led him to preach to the youth of this nation; "We are more then
conquerors!" Romans 8:37: Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through
him that loved us.
